Hey guys my father in law is looking a buying a 04 F350 duelly to pull his boat and camper with I have a 7.3 so i dont know the probs with the 6.0 what are the probs with them are they a good motor and what about the tranny he don't wont to hop it up so what should he look out for it has 59,000 on the clock thanks.

Just pull an Oasis report on it. With 59k, you'll definitely be able to tell if it's been a problem truck. The 03s and 04s and some early 05s did tend to have more injector and head gasket problems, but most of them have been fixed by now. As far as the tranny goes, he should be good there. The 5R110 is a really stout tranny, and problems are rare. I'm assuming it's an auto trans. The manuals are okay too. They just don't handle big power as well as the 5R110 without beefing up the clutch.
