I was wanting to put a superchips tuner #1805 and I guess the question is do I need a pyro gauge??? I guess u could call me a hobby farmer, I haul 18xxx lbs of hay in the summer, and put 22' stock trailer sometimes, what do you guys think?

Honestly knowing what I know now I would put an egt gauge on a stock truck if I was towing and I would also put a tranny temp gauge as well! It really just makes good sense to have those two guages with our without a tuner or chip. I would consider it If I was you

I agree you cant go wrong with the EGT and trans temp gauge. I installed a MBRP system after see what the stock EGT's were.

I will agree with them, there is a reason that big trucks come with so many gauges. Gauges are a motors life saver, as long as you pay attention to them and they also help if you are having a problem you can see what it is doing.
