Dealership 45k Service Cost
I'm due for a 45k service on my F350. What's a rough cost I should expect from the dealership to do the 45k service? I've been debating doing it myself, but the lack of free time due to traveling for work may make the decision for me.
Also, does anyone have a preferred online store that offers all the filters, oil, and such to make the 45k service easier? I'd rather order it all and have it show up on my doorstep, rather than go out and hunt it down from the local stores. Thanks! |

Are you talking about just oil and filter or fuel filters, tranny flush, etc.?
Oil and filter is 100 bucks, do it yourself for half that. Fuel filters will cost you 55 bucks to do yourself and its easy. You need a 36mm socket and that will cost you 10 bucks but it makes life easier when changing those filters. Tranny fluch is about 140 i think at the dealer and unless you have the machine to flush it, you will have to take it in for that. |

Yeah, I ended up doing fuel and oil filters today. Transmission filter, lube, and all the other stuff listed in the manual will have to wait.

I got quoted $499 for the 45k mile service at the dealership.

I called a few dealerships for quote comparisons. Full 45k service ranges from $550 to 1200. That's right, one thousand two hundred dollars for 45k service. Welcome to New England apparently.

I hope you told them where they could put it.

I just did mine this week. Oil change, both fuel filters and new air filter, cost $266. I grease everything on my own. Nothing to the tranny.
