Mirror cover

Whe we bought our truck last year and it came with the white mirror covers. We had them replaced with the black ones. Ever since then the cover on the passenger side wont stay on cover was replaced then the hole mirror and cover .It keeps doing the same thing. Just closing the door pops it off we havent hit anything with it. Dealer just orderd me an other mirror. Has anyone else had this problem. I dont want to RTV the thing on there.

there are 4 main connections on the inside of the cover and little groves that kinda lock on around the outer edge.

are you sure that those 4 connections are popping closed and locking? they could be broken and not making the final "click"
