My neighbors hate me
I come home for the weekend now that finals are out only to find a letter for me from the "Bay Area Air Quality Management District" labeled "Smoking Vehicle Prevention Program". lol this is great. Ok..so here it goes. First paragraph reads "Dear David Darsey, On November 19, 2007 at approximately 8:45pm a vehicle with ca license number 'blank' was reported to this agency as emitting excessive exhaust smoke on LACrosse Dr in Morgan Hill. DMV records indicate that this vehicle is registered in your name. If you own this vehicle we ask you to have it checked. If the vehicle is smoking, please make the necessary adjustments or repairs."
Next paragraph, this is for you california drivers just so you know the law. It reads, "according to ca motor vehicle code, section 27153, a car, truck or bus emitting visible exhaust for more than 10 seconds can be cited by a law enforcement officer with a fine of $250. However, this report of your vehicle does not constitute a violation; therefore, it will not affect your dmv driving record..." :fawkdance: At my house in Chico I have scanner and I will scan this picture then post it back in this thread. I am honestly flattered. This was the night I came home for thanksgiving break but I don't remember dumping smoke on LaCrosse as it is a residential area and I normally don't try to hot rod it around the neighborhood. There was a neighbor that I got int oa confrontation with when I drove by and he walked to the end of his driveway and put his fingers in his ears and shook his head at me, lol, needless to say I didn't shake his hand and drive away. But I doubt it was him considering this person got my plate number. oh well. ![]() ![]() :burnout

oh, it's definitely sticking around. maybe I can get a collection of them. lol I was flattered. My mom asked, "Dave, what can we do to tone it down?" I just looked at her like "what the frick!?" haha. Can't tone this beast down without throwing the cat and stock muffler back on....like that will ever happen.

yeah F that. U dropped 500 bux getting rid of the muffler. I wouldnt put it back on either... like it would help enough anyway

Smells like they don't have anything better to do than to send smoke letters. However you do live in Cali, so you should have seen this one coming. LOL
The Smoke don't mean it's Broke! |
