I need quick advice......
Here's a deal I'm sleeping on tonight; I have the truck listed below w/87,000 miles. Dealer offered me a mint 2005 F150 ext. cab 4x4 5.4 Triton w/30,000 miles and $5,000 for my truck. Does this sound like a good deal for me? Usually I wouldn't trust a dealer but he has no used Superduties and plenty of F150's so I think it's a good deal for me.
I know most don't like the F150 compared to our beasts but my needs have changed. Not gonna pull a huge camper anymore, only a 3,500lb travel trailer and 2-place snowmobile trailer. I will get some tunes for my Xcal3 which should help some. Not like it does on the 6.0 but better than stock I'm sure. I like the in town drivability of the smaller, tighter turning F150 for a daily driver. |

your powerstroke will get better fuel milage and the ride quality in my opinion is better in the superdutys. personaly i would keep the powerstroke. you would be better off selling your truck and then settling on a price on the half ton and using what ever you have left from the superduty to put down on the half ton. you always get screwed when trading in.

I don't use my F350 to tow anything.... and I still wouldnt ever think of trading it for a F150. A huge step backwards in my opinion, but I wish you luck in whatever you end up doing.

Hell for my dads excursion (2002 7.3 litre) with 97,000 on it and loaded out with everything except the sunroof, we got just under 32K, and that was earlier this year. So really that is a slap in teh face, sounds like your truck is much nicer than ours was. So i would tell that dealer to go suck an egg or give you more money.
