What does over boost mean?

What cause's it in these trucks. I've heard a few people say it but i have no idea what it means.

I don't know much about it, but I believe if the vanes in your turbo stick it can cause your truck over boost and in some cases it's known to stretch head bolts and blow the head gaskets. Someone with more knowledge will probably chime in.

I know about as much as moon. The vanes can get hung up on some rust then break free and cause boost to go through the roof. the cac tube blowing off and turbo issues may be related if it is occuring a lot.

Over boot means your turbo is out of its map range. Pushing more air than it was designed too

Yep, and since these turbos don't have a wastegate to relieve any excessive pressure, your head's get to handle it, resulting in stretched head bolts and blown head gaskets. The VGT turbo is really well designed, but sometimes they have some problems.
