I am planning on doing some minor mods to my 05 PSD F350 King Ranch Dually. I am wanting to spend as little as I can to get as much as I can out of it. I am not searching for the most horse power just wanting it to run better and get better mileage.

What size is the down pipe on a stock system? I am planing on doing a muffler delete and putting a test pipe in place of the kitty. I may also get a programmer. I am looking for somethng I can plug in and reprogram it then unplug and go. I was looking at the Super Chip programmer. But will listen to informed advise.

SCT Xcal3, and the AFE cat test pipe will fit your stock exhaust very well. If I can help feel free to call or one of the other great vendors on this site.

Man, Pat you are fast!!

IIRC, we have a 3" DP and a 3.5" exhaust. Best bang for the buck is a SCT w/ custom tunes. You will increase HP and MPG without a doubt. And of course, gauges are a big item you should consider first!

The SCTs are the most widely accepted as the best for the 6.0s.

Ok, I think I have reached a decision. I am going to go with adding a 3.5" downpipe, an Accufab elbow, losing the muffler(keeping the cat due to possible emissions testing) and getting the SCT Xcal3. I will place an order for those parts after the first of the year.

This sound like a good place to start. And most likely finnish?
