Headed to the Sun Bowl in El Paso...Any tips for the Noob?

Hey Powerstroke Heads!

Well my USF Bulls had a great season in the beginning and then screwed up a bit in the middle, but as a fan and current attender of the school I feel it's my duty to take a trip to the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX and root them on...3000 miles round trip!

I've got a 2006 6.0 PSD with all the trimmings listed in my sig. I'm just about to hit 8,000 miles on it and would just like to know what I should be bringing with on the road trip. There will be 4 people in the car and a 2-3 suitcases in the bed. Here is what I have:
- I've got a bunch of tools (full socket set, pry bars, pliers, screwdrivers, hex keys, torx keys, tire gauges, heat gloves, shop towels)
- SCT programmer =)
- nav unit
- laptop computer with satalite internet connection
- pocket knife
- ice chest with sandwiches, water, sobe, and chips
- portable jump box fully charged
- visa and amex cards

My oil change will be done here in a few days, and I just had my tires rotated. I will probably get them balanced as well the day I get the oil change and they are all filled with Nitrogen at 65 psi all around. The tires also only have about 3000 miles on them, and I have a spare beneath the bed fully aired up. I thought about picking up some diesel kleen/similar, but am unsure on how many bottles I should be getting. I read a few other posts to get the list I already have, but anything else would be greatly appreciated

I just pulled a 6000 mile round trip with no issues. My only needs on a road trip are a cell phone, AAA card, and Copenhagen. (The GPS is a nice addition, especially in unfamiliar cities).

sounds like a fun trip man It sounds like you have it covered I would get a bottle or two of the Diesel Kleen if I were you.

Got all of the above with the exception of the Copenhagen! And you are right, that GPS will come in handy out in that barren part of the country

Hope you have have a good time here in the Sun City...Cincinatti St. is the place to be for partying after the game. Nothing like a good ol' can of cope long cut for the drive!
