Cleaned out the EGR.

Just got done cleaning it and man was that sucker covered in crap. 1 can of carb cleaner and it looks brand new.
Tip: Don't use the wives kitchen towels to dry your hands after you wash them unless you want a rolling pin to the dome.

Yeah, they can get pretty nasty.

How often should this be done?

To be honest with you. Ford just released the latest tsb update and they dont want us cleaning anymore. Just cuz there a lil dirty doesnt mean they need to be cleaned. I have seen some with 60,000 miles and never been out and there fine. Ford found out that cleaning them wasnt good enough so we replace them now.
