xcal2

If I buy a used xcal 2 that has dj's tunes for an 07, will the tunes work on my 06? I'm not sure about any real difference between the 2 engines or ecu's. Thanks in advance,
Tim

that will depend on the trucks PCM code if they are the same and you have the same mods that the other truck was tuned for it will work. If the PCM codes on the 2 trucks are different you will need new tunes

I believe the SCT would need to be VIN unlocked. Then you would need to send your strategy to them and they would need to send you new tunes. Last I knew you would need to pay for the tunes. I think unlimited tunes from there are $150 but I would call and verify.

That is correct to VIN unlock it though all you need to do is return the stock tune back to the other truck. Unless the tuner has been used on 4 trucks previously

You guys cleared it up for me. I think I will just buy the tuner new. Now, I'm just torn between innovative and DJ's lol. Thanks again.

I had been looking at used ones too but when you factor in the price of the tunes it just seems to make sense to buy new. For an extra 25 - 35 bucks you have a brand new unit with warranty plus now you can get the X3.

from what I got thats with the Xcal3, the Xcal2 is a 1 truck only tuner, the way it works, is when you tune your truck, thats 1, then if you detune your and tune your buddys thats 2, then when you put it back in your truck thats 3, 1 more buddy and your screwed
