I wanted to buy a SCT tuner, the only local dealer wants 379.00 for the XCA12 plus 200 for a tune. Is there any one in MI or even on the internet that has the SCT . Do all of the SCT need to be tuned and does it cost extra. I have seen some posts that they talk about certian peoples tunes, how do you get these. I don't plan on a lot of mod's unless it hepls to improve fuel mileage. Like the way the truck runs, I don't care about speed for that I have a 2000 Mustang GT or Yellow Goldwing

There are several places online where you can get a custom tuned Xcal3 with unlimited tuning for less than what your local dealer quoted you that will make your truck EAT your mustang GT and still get better fuel mileage.

That's the same quote I got, 1800.00 for the whole job out of warr..I have 97000. I am going to buy the Studs from FARMBOY and have the ready if I blow the gaskets while I am still in warr. But I have not install an SCT yet. I'll tell you I CAN NOT WAIT.

i got my studs from farmboys too, but i still ran my truck a long time on stock bolts, with the wick turned way up. i've run hotter files than ultracomp with my stock head bolts without an issue.

were my heads warped when i took them off ? yes. but the head gaskets leak ? nope.

Safe Hp range with stock head bolts

What's a good area to stay in if you are stock heads and all, just curious where it's safe to keep the power range on my 07 f250?

I'm running ID's 120hp street tune, stock bolts, I do not have gauges right now so I don't stay in it right now, I'm going to the Xtreme street as soon as the gauges are in.
