SCT Livewire mounting????

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anybody had some good ideas for mounting the SCT Livewire. I have the stupid windshield mount but I don't want to use that at all. I know there is an A-Pillar mount available for like $150 but that seems like a lot just to mount this thing. Any ideas would be appreciated??? Pics would be great as well...

Hey DMB, I used a bracket from crutchfield stereo to mount my sirius satellite reciever. It mounts under the heater control panel, and is an easy to see area, with a clean install. I'm sure you could adapt it to work with the Livewire. here's a pic of it...
