Changing my 2003 f250 grill with a 2005 chrome grill??

I have heard that it is possible to change the 2003 f250 grill with the new 2005 chrome grill is this true? If so how much, where can i find one? And are there any changes that need to be done to make it work?

You will need the grill and the bumper. They changed the bumper on the newer ones as well as the grill.

You can find some on ebay but I don't know how well they hold up.

If you don't want to replace the bumper, you can trim some off the bottom of the grille itself. That is why you see 05+ grille's on the 99-04's.

- -I have an '05 on my '01 -- but you have to trim about 3/4 of the bottom section off of it to get it to fit the old style bumper -- if you want to do it without cutting, you need the bumper and grill

blue 01 f250- how did you trim yours, and how much you pay for it?

I found on ebay this one company makes one that is already trimmed that fits right in, but they way 299 plus shipping and tax which turns out to be about 350 which is a bit more than i was hoping to spend, but it looks factory. I believe its mkw customs.

Yah, there are some cool looking ones on ebay -- but I'm with you, they want too dang much for them..

I actually got mine from a fellow member who used a dremel tool to cut it -- wasn't the smoothest of cut and had a booboo on it, so got it for free -- but, I also have a grill guard that hides most of the imperfections

here are the two different front ends...

Before

After

Is hard to tell the difference with the grill guard -- but you can kinda get the idea of what I'm getting at
