Any Mod. friendly dealers in the MASS area?
Well I've been thinking about purchasing an SCT programmer with custom tunes, but I didn't know if anyone around my area (MASS) knew of any dealers that are programmer and mod. friendly. I don't want to go huge amount of power or anything just a little more than what is stock and better towing, but with the 6.0 I'm nervous incase anything happens. Just wondering if any of you guys around MASS had an in with some diesel techs just incase. Thanks

call Scott Hovey at Mass Diesel Performance. His shop is in Walpole, Ma the number is 1-508-660-7093 and see if he does the SCT thing. I'm not sure that he does, but it's worth a phone call.

This may not be much help but since you already have an intake, bigger tires and an exhaust most dealers are going to assume your running a tune as well. I'd say go for the SCT and return it to stock if you need to take it in. I've read lots of different opinions on whether they can tell if you ran a tune but I personally don't think they can.

They can tell, but what you don't know is if the tech you will deal with is capable. It's a crapshoot at best.

Yeah I've been talking with marc on here and there are ways to tell it all depends if the the tech is knowledgeable enough. The dealership I'm at now still warranties my work with the intake and straight piped exhaust. They're great guys there but I'm not sure if the tech is programmer friendly. Thanks for ur help guys.
