? about 06 20's

I have an 03 and I have 06 factory 20's on it. I have 2" spacers on the front and I don't know if i need them. Someone told me that the front axle on mine is shorter than the ones on the 05 newer trucks and that it had to have the spacer's for the wheels to clear. The problem is that the lugs nuts are smaller and the thread pattern is different therefore, I can't put the dang center caps on and I cant find bigger lug nuts for that thread pattern so I can put em on.
