Possible HPOP issues... again..

Had my HPOP.ICP, ICP pigtail, oil cooler SCT fitting, and IRP valve replaced by Ford at the beginning of Dec. I have put right at 2k on the truck since then and its been problem free for the most.

Last week i got my SCT tuner and put on the canned tow tune on over the weekend. All was well once the ECM learned the new tune. Truck drives great just the extra 65HP is very noticeable.

Now on the the issue. The truck starts cold/hot/warm just fine. I can leave work and drive home (about 30min) and fine the whole way home, the issue is if i shut the truck off and go inside for a alittle bit (30 or more) and come back out and start the truck the idle is very irratic.

The RPM does not vary much maybe 4-5 rpm. But my ICP and ICP voltage will jump up and down. ICP will read anywhere from 591 to 765 and the ICP voltage will go from .72 to 1.19 the truck feels a little shaky while this is going on but there are no codes.

I can take it down the road and after about 10 min it goes away. NO lack of power or excessive smoke

My ICP is normally 637-647 i mean damn consistent. Same with my ICP voltage normally .79-.85 consistently.

The idle feels like it did when my HPOP **** the bed. but non of the other symptoms are there.

Thoughts? maybe an injector?

I'm gonna say you have a faulty ICP or it's leaking again and gotten into the pigtail. If they charged you for the STC fitting, they took you for a ride since the 03-04 trucks don't have them.

I would be all over the Ford shop that fixed it like stink on s#!+. They should make it good if the parts are done with only 2K miles on them. At $3200 I would be looking for another shop once you get them to make this right.

Good reason why you should learn to do your own work.
