Thinking of purchasing a 6.0 F250 Build DATE April 03

Hi Everyone,

I am new here, and have learned a lot so far.....many thanks.

My friend has a F250 superduty diesel build date is 03/04. Is this any reason to worry as I read early 6.0 had problems. Mileage is 29K so low, and still under warranty to 100K (anyone know how many years the warranty is)

Just do not want to get a bum truck, he loves it but does not use it much. It has not been flashed yet with the heat inductive flash.

It is a xtracab short bed for $20K asking price.

Any thoughts or concerns I should have would be appreciated.

i don't know the specifics on the Ford Diesel warranty, but "most" warranties are no longer than 100K miles/10 years. the one you're looking at probably is still covered under warranty.

Nothing significant on the Oasis report for my 77,000 mile 4/03 build 6L. Got one of the good ones I guess (knock on wood).

get an oasis on it. 29k is very low. warranty will be up on it 03/09. try and put as many miles on it as possible and find a good dealer with a good 6.0 tech. good luck to you and come back with any questions.
