fuel additive

I was wondering if any of you ever used a fuel additive or injector cleaner in your 6.0 ? if so what type/brand.

I have a 7.3, but I think its a good idea to run a fuel additive. Ford has one, also Powerservice, and Standyne are some good ones off the top of my head

I put 8oz of Diesel Kleen in my truck at every fill-up. You can get it at Wal-Mart for about $6-7 a bottle back in the automotive section. I hear the gray bottle used for summer and the white during the cold months.

Can't say that I've really seen much of a difference in the past 5k miles, but who knows...maybe my injectors are already clean

thanks guys, I've seen the ones at wal-mart, I guess anything that boosts the cetane rating helps.

I use the Lucas Oil additive that is good for diesel or gas engines. It does all the injector cleaning and other crap...It doesn't have a cetane booster, but it smooths things out a lot.

I use PowerService (Diesel Kleen) primarily due to its availability- just picked up the white stuff tonight as it is getting colder here now. Matt 05 I see you are from Warren - I am up in the Erie area - I hunt down in the Warren area from time to time.
