door panel removal

Ok, I've had an annoying rattle in my drivers side door for awhile but now it's starting in all 4 doors. What is the trick to removing the door panels? While I'm at it I was thinking about upgrading my speakers. Any help?

Remove the black trim peice by just pulling it off at the top right.

Remove the window switches, they just pop out. Remove the light lense on the bottom, there should be a screw or soemthing in there. Then pull the whole door panel up.

there is another screw by the door handle also..

as for the speakers I changed mine with some decent pioneer 6x8's that where 100 bucks. They are better than stock but by no means spectacular.

One more. Places like bestbuy or circut city also have harness's that plug into the factory plug and speaker to eliminate cutting the fatory wires....

door panels are cake to remove.
I went with some Memphis comp. level 6x8 directional components with in line crossovers.......crazy clear and insane sound with no small amp or anything yet. I watch DVD's, listen to CDs, play my IPod thru my in dash, and listen to the radio and everything is super clear.....I drive an hour in each direction so I like my driving entertainment. next just might be the addition of XM Radio. My fiance has it and its only 6.99/mo to add me to it and it has 4 comedy stations with 24/7 comedians....I listen to those in her car constantly. I even have a 16" LCD roof-mount screen for the passengers.

definately more info than you need, but once you get into changing things out in the truck, you realize its insanely easy and works GREAT in these trucks!

Are you sure the rattle is coming from the door panel area? Mine had the same annoying rattle, and it ended up being the body panels creaking. I had to bend all 4 doors out a little at the top to take the stress off the body.

I've had a similar rattle from just my passenger door, but figured out it was teh 10 pack of screwdrivers I dumped into the pocket on the door. Easy fix! ahahaha

pull us door panels, takes 5 minutes tops. If there isn't somin obvious there, good luck.
