I believe they are factory spares run through the firewall. I'm sure someone else will chime in...they may have an actual purpose??

Those are the wires that connect to your upfitter switches.

I have those wires and no upfitter switches

They are on all the trucks but they are there so that if you have upfitter switches you can connect your compressor, lights, whatever to them and not be concerned with running wires into the cab. It is a thru firewall factory prewired thing.
You can go buy the switches and install them yourself and have a factory look install if you want to. It was one of the only options my truck didn't have and I did just that. |

Great. Thanks for the info! I think I'm gonna get me a set. Don't they sell for about $150?

I don't remember what I paid but I think you are close. I literally did it the week I bought the truck. I made sure it was possible to do before I bought it. Hit me up if you have any questions. The relay box goes behind and above the glove box. Figuring that out was the hardest part.

I paid 98 bucks for both the upfitters and the wiring harness though Tousley last week.
