Would this be petty??

I notice several requests a week from people wanting oasis reports on there trucks. My personal opinion is that they should not be handed out unless they are a supporting member of the org. It seems to me that most of them sign up just for this benefit. I think it is a great tool to use to help support this great site and knowledge base. It is a small price to pay to insure there are funds available to insure the longevity of powerstroke.org I am not able to provide oasis reports so this really is no skin off my back. And those that do provide that service are well within there right. I was just wondering what you all think and if that is being to petty?

Yeah its kinda petty. It's the catalyst to becoming a member and poster. Gotta start somewhere. I remember it was one of the first things I asked about on thedieselstop. They wont become members/posters if they dont buy the truck. And some dealers are just a hassle if you arent spending any money there, they dont all care to help you out. Oasis providers here care to help out for free.

There is an oasis report section in the premium member forum which gets answered more promptly and regularly than the general forums.

I remember that now from when I found it nice to be a "premium member" but the fact is the competitor diesel sites all provide them for free as do dealers, yet they dealers aren't as helpful.

Well, pitch my nickel.....I am new to this forum, although belong to many others. Admittedly I joined to learn more about the different years diesels to determine which I should buy. I have a friend that works in parts at a dealer, that poor SOB must have ran 20 VINs and auto checks for me before I pulled the trigger.

This said, I would hope people would help me on a forum if I didn't have that resource. In turn, I am now on here everyday reading and learning. Hopefully at some point I can assist others like you all have done for me.

Thanks to all, great site!!
