6.0 powerstroke motors sounds vs another 6.0

okay so i have a 6.0 with intake and exhaust with 115,000 miles NOW my friend has a 6.0 same done too it as mine with 82000 miles and my motor sounds so much louder then his like is is quite compared too mine ? would anyone know why that is?

Is your fuel pressure ok, do you run the same oil, are you both running motorcraft filters with matching cap, does your ficm voltage check out ok?

03-04 early straight oil rail engines are always louder. Some of it has to do with fuel and oil quality too

If you have a 03-04 with old oil rails in them the engine is way louder than a 05 that what you are probally hearing. my 03 compared to a 05 is a night and day diffrence.

'03 - '04's with dino oil will sound like a 7.3L. Get some 5W-40 synthetic, water/fuel separator, and some Archoil and that thing will sound like a 6.4L.
