random ? about black smoke need answered

So I watch all the videos on youtube of the guys blowing the black smoke. I was under the impression once i got a SCT tuner and put it on extreme tune and installed a turbo back, cat delete 4" straight exhaust I would be blowing this black smoke upon hammering the throttle, well Im not. My question is, is this a custom tune I need to purchase and install?

dude im new to the diesels in general, im sure you had your turns exploring all the options and toying with it when you first started modding, so instead of wasting time typing what you did either don't reply or answer the damn question

The black smoke is frowned upon. But, your truck is running efficiently if it has way more power and not smoking. It's a good thing I promise. the custom tunes are better for performance than what comes from sct itself, some of them will smoke if you make them, but they can be driven without smoking. You'll understand if you are in an intersection and some kid fogs it out while not going anywhere, same as kids with hondas with beercan mufflers and big subs.

Figured I would get you the answer in before these other guys start their crap and run you off and the thread gets locked. It is part of being new to diesels, just like getting your first cherry bombs or flowmaster mufflers, there is a honeymoon phase.
