Edge CTS Help
Ok, I am traveling south tomorrow to pick up the new rig so after reading here I bought the CTS to check things over prior to handing over the cash.
Well, I wanted to familiarize myself on usage so I plugged it into my Ram truck and then started hitting the yes I agree and then freaked out as I wasn't sure if it would stick to the ram and not work tomorrow on the 350 so I unplugged the cable. Did I mess anything up? Also, I don't own a PC only Apple products so is that going to hinder me too? Thanks, Keith |

You can use it on different vehicles, it will a ask you to enter the vin, and confirm. It is best to update it once you receive it, so all the available pid's will come up. You should probably go and hook it up and make sure you didn't hang it up by yanking the plug.
Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get. |

Yes it will, im in the same boat! There is a app called winebottler that you can fool around with its supposed to run PC files on mac. I gave up with it and just use a friends computer for updates.

yup you will be fine. some times it has you put the vin in and sometimes you dont. my 04 you have to put the vin in when hooking up, my 05 didnt, my buddy is using my cts right now and he didnt have to put the vin in so im thinking it just depends on the truck. Smart man taking the cts with you
