Wassup guys, well today is my birthday, so naturally I'm buying my truck presents (from what I know it was bought on the 28th of Nov, so that's pretty cool, just got a letter saying the warrany expires tomorrow lol). I was inclined to buy a bunch of engine mods, but ATM I don't have the time nor tools to do the EGR delete+stc fitting+stand pipes+dummy plugs+new oil filter+coolant filter+headstuds+whatever else, I kinda want to make it one big project since it will all be apart anyway. Also after my medical stuff clears(hopefully), and I pass through MEPS physical, I'll be on quick ship for the Air Force BMT, so I don't want to have a disassembled truck if I get called to leave.

Soo, I'm trying to think of other crap I can buy for the truck. Past two days I bought some stuff.

Recon smoked cab lights
SCT tuner (because it was on sale)
HD headlights
new headlamp switch (dash+radio isn't lighting up)
upfitters
thinking about some HID's 5or6k

any other suggestions? I want some new license plates but can't come up with any good ideas lol.

Happy b-day! Get a coolant filter on there now, so it will be clean before you dig in.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

Forget the Sinister and get an IPR full flow coolant filter. It's the best on the market. Surprised nobody has said this yet but get a Monitoring solution before you buy anything else. ScangaugeII on the cheap side, or Edge Insight CS or CTS on the higher end. If you have an iPhone, iPad, etc the Dassboss is supposed to be nice too.

I already have a edge insight cts with EGT probe, I'll look into the ipr though, I heard they have the best egr deletes too.

I was about to buy recon 3rd brake light and tails and then decided to read some reviews on them, any other places that sell good looking smoked led ones that fit well? Lol

I would never buy Recon... Their customer service sucks and their quality of parts has gotten really bad too.

I got LED tails and 3rd light off Ebay for $115/ $30

That was over a year ago and they work awesome. Buy LED on ebay

I bough the mirror lights for my old truck from Recon and the right one stopped working after a few months. Forget their customer service, it sucks!

Instead of making a new thread, I'll just post it here. I ordered a new headlight switch and was hoping it would fix my flashing lights problem, but didn't... Can anyone help figure out what I need to fix?
