Battery light
So bought an 04' F 350 last week. All lights including headlights, dash, dome, etc. would dim/pulse. Tested batteries & alt. with volt meter and load tester. Both seemed to check out but I went ahead and replaced alt. anyway. Pulsing/dimming issue was resovled but now the battery light on the dash will occasionally come on and go off as it pleases. Im assuming its a bad ground/connection somewhere but any other ideas before I break out the sandpaper?? Thanks in advance

I'm having a very similar issue. I just put in a brand new alternator this weekend. Batteries fully charged and tested. They were fine. My battery light has been coming on but I'm reading 13.5-13.8 volts. If you find out let me know!

Post #8 gives a brief summary of the system.
single or dual alternators ? One common spot is the negative cable running from the pass side battery to the engine block by the A/C compressor. The bolt in the block can wiggle loose. Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com App |
