2006, Digital Compass Not Working
A few months back I noticed that my compass (digital, in-dash) on my 2006 F250 was reading incorrectly. Shortly thereafter it quit working all together and is now just displayed as --, no letters at all.
Any idea how this might be fixed? |

I think there is some tight turning calibration if I remember correctly. The manual should explain it

You can try pressing the little button on the box behind the rear-view mirror, you might have to hold it. Do it in a big parking lot because you have to drive in circles for it to calibrate.

Mine did the same thing. Have a link on fixing some bad connections on the circuit board. Have not tried it yet.

Any idea how to get it to stay hanging up? It doesn't seem to want to clip back on no matter what I do. |

Yeah, that's the one. It's supposed to clip on, so I guess the clips are broken. You could glue it back on.
The one in my F150 was hanging off too, but one of the clips still worked so it stayed on, even after going 60 mph off road. |

it's strange, it doesn't look like anything is broken. There is a little tab that locks into the windshield side of the mount and a U shape to accomodate the shaft of the mirror but when I try to push it on it just doesn't bite? Maybe a piece is missing or something?

Mine just kinda squished on there, no clips on the u shaped part.
