Where is the plastic T vs. pex fitting on coolant filter thread?

A while back there was a long thread/discussion about replacing the plastic T fitting on a coolant filter kit with a pex fitting. I can't find it anymore and wanted to read through it again because there were some links provided in it. There was also a discussion about the original poster starting the thread title with the word "Warning." Did anybody else see this thread or know where I can find it? I am coming up empty. I'm pretty sure it was this site that I saw it on.
