Well we started from a dead stop, 4 wheel drive boosted launch. Got em off the line then it all went downhill. BOOM goes the intercooler boot haha. Time to upgrade.

Hey Tuscany your badges on the side of the truck! Where did you get them and how hard were they to put on? Dont mean to jack the thread.

Lol I didn't and I don't know! They were on I when I bought it. They are the actual functioning vents that the 08's and early 09's had the late 09's - 2010's used just a stick on that wasn't a functioning vent.

Yeah, a buddy at work has a f450 with the 6.4. It's much heavier, although with 4.88 gears from the factory it helps offset the crazy f450 weight. He has a spartan tuner and dpf delete. Tuned with my banks pda before, I could sorta hang with him. With the looney wild, ficm tuner (hercules) and 175/30 injectors, and a few other things, I stay just ahead of him on a 4x4 launch, maybe a truck length lead.

I didnt realize 6.4's were so nasty, I guess there's a lot to be said about the gains of common rail injection over the heui system in the 6.0 and 7.3. That being said, workin on them looks like a nightmare. I had considered swapping my truck out for one, but eventually ill have to work on it, or get the bug to mod it, and i dont want to deal with working in that engine bay. The 6.0 is bad enough. I think my next truck will be a 6.7, but thats a long, long way off.

Does anyone know how nodded 6.4's hold up against nodded 6.7's? I never looked into it.

A modded 6.4 is Much faster then a modded 6.7...

The 6.4 is a POWER BEAST!

The 6.7 is limited by fuel supply and pistons IIRC

BTW, how do you like the 30% nozzles? I might be downgrading due to 75s putting too much pressure on my fuel supply and mostly cuz towing is kinda hard through the mountains without a larger turbo. The top end power should only be like 10hp difference though after talking with Adrian last night. (PM me please to not derail this thread)

OP, Doesn't that just suck when you think you got it all good and BAM, something goes wrong, all while scaring the bajeezies out of you from the sound LOL

A race I lost last week was to a New Camaro SS... Lined up, 4x4 on, boosting up, turns green, GUN IT, and.... 4x4 never engaged LARGE AZZ burnout
