frustrated with fuel pressure install

Something so easy just got on my nerves and turned into a 2 day event now... What fittings do you guys use to fit the fuel pressure sender in place without hitting the rad. hose? Also when i took the fuel pressure plug no fuel came out? this normal with these trucks? sorry i know dumb question just never had to fool with the fuel side of this truck other than the blue spring mod. thanks 2004 f350 by the way

I used the hose setup that strictly diesel sells. It includes a bend in it to clear that stuff and locates the sensor away from that area so there is extra room. Plus it has a schraeder valve on it to check with a mechanical gauge. Here's the link:
Driven Diesel 6.0L Fuel Pressure Adapter

As for their being no fuel in there, that seems off. Maybe someone else will add some input there.

yeah i thought there would be fuel coming out.. truck runs great so it must be normal i guess? I went to loews and got a 90 street ell, and a 3 inch bushing to make it work hopefully. Anyone else got any advice on the fuel issue etc?

Actually, unless key is on there won't be fuel there. Has to go through regulator first.

there is always fuel though sitting where the filter is correct even when key off? I gotta look at it but i guess the fuel pressure port is in a seperate location then the float bowl. meaning in the regulator taking pressure there?
