FICM install
05 6.0 Excursion
Just had my FICM rebuilt (ficmrepair.com, premium ) and put on an Atlas 40 tune Is there anything that i need to look out for on the re-install other that making sure the wiring harnesses are completelysnapped in and bolting it on? Does the battery need to be unhooked? Any other gotchas? thanks |

Working on electrical or around the batteries, I always disconnect the batteries. That's just me.

Well, if you haven't already started this. You might want to look at the heater hose that crosses over the FICM. See if it is getting chaffed on the FICM. Might get a larger chunk of hose to cover it, or something similar, since you are in there. Those hoses have been known to chafe enough to cause a leak.
