Impulse buy... 03 turbo.

Ok.. so I bought an 03 turbo. Coming with the vgt and pedastal. Think I got a decent deal. I know I am really not going to gain anything but a whistle right? When I stud her I'll get a MTW turbo and injectors. Anyway I am probably going to clean it. But is there anything I need to really change besides the pedestal to make it work. I already have an updated drain and fill tube. Thanks guys!

Chris- 2006 XL F250 4×4 LBCC, the "Don Schula express"..

Holder's 190/30s, custom reg return, 6.7 pump fuel system, custom built Amsoil oil bypass, custom ported intake and custom stage 2 GT4088 turbo, all built by me, BD diesel up-pipes and manifolds , Coolingmist methanol injection, studded, PMF traction Bars, deleted and oringed heads with some BPD goodies... with some love from Loxdce

You don't even need the pedestal
Jst use the 05 pedestal, and not use the back bolt.
Two side bolts, and four pipes will hold that turbo in place more then you can imagine!!!

Many guys do the exact same thing

Fwiw me and ALOT of people I know don't use any turbo Boyle… the up pipe and down pipe will hold it in place plus think te turbo is like 40 pounds and sits in slots on the pedestal that thing ain't going anywhere

It's coming with the pedestal, so spend 2 minutes extra to swap them and do it right. Only 4 10mm bolts that hold it in.

The 03 pedestal with its stupid legs raised up in the air make it a beach to install the turbo compared to the 05+ pedestals... I would....take the 03 pedestal and throw it at my neighbor..
