are you happy with your Volant air intake? I had the AFE open intake but have since put the stock intake back in. I had to clean that filter every month and it was getting quite annoying. I've always liked the volant closed box unit but heard that you lose hp with it.

I'll let him answer for himself but when I was over there last he showed me and said he loved it. Its a pretty awesome design and I think I might be getting myself one sooner or later.

I like it a lot - I can't say I saw any hp increases but I did so much at the same time there was no way to really know. I very seriously doubt I've lost any to the design, it's a ram air theory so being a closed case it's still getting better direct air injection than one that's just open on the top. I still have to clean my filter often but it's quick and easy so I don't worry about it. Any excuse to mess with the rig.
