Oil ?

I was out the other night and saw a Rotella oil I hadn't noticed before . It is a 10w30 synthetic blend . On the bottle it says it is for use in heavy duty diesels, pickups , tractors etc. same labeling that is on the regular Rotella jugs and on the t6 synthetic jugs. Was just wondering if any of y'all had seen it , used it , or had a feeling about it one way or the other. Goes for about $13 per gallon .

If the oil comply with CJ-4 and it says "for diesel engines" I don't see a reason for not to use it. Personally I'll keep using 15w-40 weight, too hot where I live.

i would say use the t6, full synthetic. your injectors are fired by oil pressuere, so running a dino or part dino is not what i choose, no reason to give these trucks any more reason to fail.

Do yourself and your truck a favor and run only a Full Synthetic 5W-40 oil. Your injectors, and HPO system will thank you. Doesn't matter how hot of a climate you live in. I live in FL and have been running 5W-40 T6 for 2 years now. I wish I would have started using it sooner. Never had an injector problem and I have the piece of mind that I am giving my truck the best oil possible.
