6.0 smoke switch side effects

I'm just curious, as I do not want to cut into the turbo wires and splice a switch in, would the side effects be of a "smoke switch" and what would cause them?

as for your question I would say that soot build up on the turbo can be a long term problem.

I don't ever plan on putting one on...I don't see the point in the lost power and fuel....but I have been reading and everyone is saying that they cause problems and I know a couple of people who have and use them....so I was wonder what problems people are talking about

Forget about the switch, just use Walmart bag over the air filter. Studies have shown that the Walmart bags give you the most smoke.

But seriously please don't install a smoke switch it makes us all look bad.

Yea your not going to find any help with making your truck smoke here l. Most of us are not fans of it at all and it kinda makes us all look like tool bags. We get enough attention already. Sorry!

Because I have a friend from high school that swears by his and through my boredom in class scrolling though all the YouTube videos I keep coming across the smoke switch videos and people kept downing them saying that they cause problems... when I brought this up to my friend he called BS on it cause he has had his for about 3 years now so I turned to here for some rock solid proof to try and get him to remove it...mine smokes enough when I want it too....right before the turbo spools

Maybe just explaine to him how it makes him look bad and its not impresive at all. Might also show him the fines for doing it.
