Exhaust sound w/ cat or w/o. Any Difference?

So any of you guys notice a difference between cat on and cat off exhaust sound? I am going to to get a diamond eye 4in turbo back so I can get rid of my resonator (I have an early 04) and can't decide between the off road or the cat only. I don't know if I want the headache of trying to get it inspected even though it past with out a muffler. What do you guys think?
And Do any of you guys know of a 4in straight exhaust with a cat delete pipe? Diamond eye says they don't have one for my year model.

I have a MBRP with cat delete and sounds pretty good, not too loud but still has a good tone.

I'm jot sure about the dimond eye but I love my 5" mbrp no cat or muffler but it is going to take you a while to get use to the loud jet like sound. Might not want to drive near any officers also.

Yes, the cat will quiet your early 04. No cat will be that 03/e04 sound that scares women and children and men who suck.
