New guy here...converter
Just got rid of the 5.9 and bought a 2007 f350 with th 6.0, my question, is can i take the cat converter and muffler off with out tripping a light or hurting anything ?

Your going to love the way a straight piped 6.0 sounds. Just awesome. I think they win the "best sounding diesel" award haha. But I might be a bit biased.

My brother inlaw used my old exhaust parts to delete his cat on his 6.0 Excusion. He didnt take off the muffler. To tell you the truth it didnt make much of a sound differenct to me but it definatly lowered his egt's. No lights ether. Our trucks dont have oxygen sensors so I dont see how the truck would know if the cat was on or not.

Ditch em! Yea, more than likely the best sounding light duty diesel. Nothing really touches the sound of a Detroit 2 stroke IMO.
But anyway, welcome! You will notice when reading the diesel power mags that our powerstrokes are never the king of truck pulles. We dont have many that rock smoke switches. They are great work trucks that are just simply joy to drive! |
