wow... just installed a programmer. big difference.

Hey guys, I just recently bought an 05 cc, 4x4, shortbed. I love the truck. I was doing some stereo work at my buddy's shop and he had a power pup in stock. We installed it and I continued to do my thing. When I left the shop, I forgot I had the program. What a difference!!! I don't beat up on my truck so I have my fingers crossed with the whole head gasket nightmares I read about. Just wanted to share my joys with you guys!!

awesome bud! generally if you have good HG so far, a basic programmer like the power pup should be a safe bet.

Hope you have fun!

You'll probably be OK with the 05... Congrats on the tuner! Like Logan said, wait until you get an SCT with custom tunes...

it is THAT drastic. I would assume edge, banks, bully dog are all very comparable in power output and all I could say after loading xtreme street was "WOW!". It's a whole new truck.

you guys need to seriously stop posting in this thread! I convinced myself that I wasn't gonna get a programmer since it voids my expensive extended warranty, I got my intake in, and gettin my exhaust installed this week.....dont make me not care about a stupid warranty and go get a programmer! lol

Now that you guys aren't gonna rub it in, I have about 35,000 miles til that extended warranty expires, feel free to pump me up then! :-)
