04 harley
hey whatsup guys new here. just upgraded from a 02 f150 to a 2004 6.0 HD leveled, rims and tires. so far im in love! it has 180k. so now i want to know whay are the common issues with this truck. so far ive found
-egr -headstuds -fuel pressure -and injectors so around 45-50 my truck starts studdering and bucking but not in overdrive. so i was reading its injectors. what injectors should i get? should i get bigger ones? and same for the EGR i heard the gogo was probably the best but kinda expensive. so what would you recommend. also i read that gauges are very important so im gonna hopefully get the edge insight to read the vitals. i also plan on deleting the cat and muffler. for coooler egt's is there anything else? im new to diesels so please help me out! hers the f150 and my new truck towing my jeep and quads! |

First you need to start with a monitor solution to see what's going on with your motor, the current health and the issue you are having with "bucking. Without a monitor, and code reader, you are just throwing parts at it.
Things to consider about owning a 6.0L Write Up: Monitoring the 6.0L PSD. Then if you have to dig into the motor, update the OEM parts that are prone to failure. Some parts will be upgraded with OEM, some with aftermarket. Write Up: Bullet-Proofing the 6.0L PSD. Welcome to the ORG!! Sent from my iPhone using Autoguide.com App |

Welcome you will find tons of good info here. That being said your little problem could be a number of diff things so like stated before get something so see what's going on with the rig if you assume it's one thing you could be throwing money into the truck that is not needed.

Get the monitor first.
Check your deltas Then get a coolant filter Then decide if you want to flush your system This method above is very popular and might prevent a clogged oil cooler |
