Buying a 6.0 tell me if it's worth it!

2005 f250 ccsb XLT fx4 superduty 112,000 miles really clean! It's a zf-6. 1 owner clean carfax with a good looking oasis report with a receipt from for for EVERY oil change done by them up to date. Asking 17,995 I'm hoping to go lower than that.

What are your thoughts?? Please?

Sounds like a good deal! You already know what to look for on the 6.0 so I won't go into that.

Post up pics!

NADA says that clean retail for that truck is $18,500. So, thats a good deal, but I would certainly try to get them to at least $17,500, probably $17,000.

Check underneath the bellhousing/rearmain for Oil leaks. There very common as long as they don't drip to the ground don't sweat it.

Also get one of these

And moniter those temps

Ya I just rolled my old 6.0 I've got all the monitoring stuff and I've got a 40+ point checklist to look for when I buy them I was just wondering what you thought. And I got it down to 17,300.

Make sure you drive the 6.0 with a stick before jumping on the deal. I drove one and its pretty gutless when trying to get a trailer moving, especially on a hill. Otherwise i really like rowing the gears of a diesel truck.
