Another smoke question

I had just had my head gaskets redone with ford oem gaskets. My injectors were sent out to warrens to get reworked, new shims, washers and o-rings. I picked the truck up and noticed it still smokes a good bit when cold. Is that typical for bigger injectors? The truck is studded and deleted as well. I have an cts and all my essential readings are all good including ficm. What could still be causing the smoke? It's a greyish color. Thanks

Possible that the seals in the turbo leaking oil. You can disconnect the down pipe and look for oil.

If your running a custom tune, it's normal for gray smoke at start up. Some tune writers allow for extra fuel when first started.

Would this extra smoke for start also go for the Atlas 40 tune on the FICM? I noticed mine has been doing it since I got my FICM back as well. I don't run a tune program other than the atlas 40.

On that note, I notice today ( as I don't drive my truck often) I went to lunch from work backed up as I passed a empty spot, goosed it a bit and I got a puff of the bluish color smoke. Wonder if my it is time to check the turbo seals.

Sorry for the hi-jack!

More than likely just a little unburnt fuel in the cylinder.

Even greyish white? Mine does it sometimes when warm and sometimes not. I am not as familiar with diesel vehicles as I am boat engines. You would think they are the same, but when you keep the engines on a bout on hot starts at 180 degrees only smoke your gonna gets is black and most of the time your in the boat and don't see. I just know I have delt with all the issues of the 6.0 yet and don't need to this thing to blow out on me next year when I transfer out of here. And being I never notice any this up until I upgraded my FICM, just kinda worried me.
