HPOP Upgrade

Can a 2004 6.0 with the old style HPOP that has the STC fitting be upgraded to the new style V pump? It would also need a new cover and branch tubes. Is the IPR the same.

The IPR is not the same. As for the original question I have no idea, why would you want to upgrade?

Pretty sure that NONE of the old style HPOPs have the STC fitting that is corrected with the one-piece fitting w/ jam nut.

This is not from me, but a Tech friend says a LOT has to be changed out to make the pump change happen (ie rear engine cover, etc).

well the rear engine cover needs to be removed to get the branch tube out. It bolts to the block above the rearmost lifters so accessing that can be difficult too.

We know the branch tube holes to the standpipe have to be in the same location because 05+ standpipes install in 04 engines with no modification. I would be willing to bet all the 05+ high pressure components would install but it is very labor intensive.

The adrenalin pump is supposed to be better than the 05 up pump I think so why go to the aggravation of doing a conversion.

Per the link: "Note for 2005-2007: you can only use this if you retrofit all your rails and HPOP components out to the 2004 version, or wait for our 2005-2007 version ... The 2005-2007 version is beginning the prototype process now." I remember seeing that pump referenced early this year, and saw the same verbage. Anyone know when the 05-07 version will finally be available, or has there been some insurmountable issues that have yet to be resolved which is delaying the release of the version for the newer engines?

DIESELSITE hired three additional full time people over the summer (hi!) in an effort to keep up with pump sales, projects, and new product releases. You can visit our website and look at our special projects category to keep up with updates on things like the 05-07 HPOP and the Overdrive. Our Facebook page also has regular updates on product testing.

I posted this on another board... but I want to reassure everyone again that we're working super hard at getting it released. You can see it undergoing stress testing here:
