I have a 04 f250 and just had the John woods towmaster transmission installed and was wondering if I should be using the tow/haul to pull a 3000 pound enclosed trailer around. If someone could let me know that would be great.

On my 04, I don't when hauling my 3-5k popup toyhauler (depending on toys ), unless driving in mountains.

You should use it every time you tow. Not mandatory for that weight though but I would use it if your in the mountains or hills. Can only help.

I tow a 3K pound dog trailer loaded with gear, generator, dogs, etc and found the tow/hual really does nothing for me. I do change the SCT to the tow tune.
Now when I two my 22' car hauler, you best believe i put it in tow/hual. |

I helps with earlier shifting and off the line shifting as well as slowing you down. I have a tow tune from Vivian that has the Jake brake feature but she still recommends tow/haul button.

I freaking love the tow tune with turbo brake that I have from IDP.
The turbo spooling on downshifts sounds bad a$$!

The canned performance tune that came with my livewire ts does the same thing......sucks because I love the sound, but I want to run my custom tunes lol

Couldn't a tuner write a tune, keeping that feature, but customizing the rest to your liking? I'm still new to all this, so I am not sure what a tuner can and can not do with "canned" tunes.

Yea I would think so, but I've already put Vivian thru enough hell lately, I'm not going to ask her to rewrite my tunes just for a sound.
