Aux fuel tank, which filter?

I came upon a steal aux fuel tank about a year or so ago. I have been using GPI filters from tractor supply. I have noticed when fueling the truck out of this tank, the filters in the truck have been dirtier than normal. When i got the tank i cleaned it really good. Can someone recommend a good spin on fuel filter. I don't always use it for the truck. Usually just on long trips. Fuel is usually cheaper around the house.
