fuel guage stuck on full

I was out hunting the other day and was parked on a pretty steep hill. Ever since the guage has been stuck in the full position. How do I fix it? I did manage to fill my bear tag on that trip. thanks Ryan

Can you see any reason why it would do that? Seems common on these trucks.

mine was stuck in a way that I would have never guessed. the float was up where the the opening is for the sending unit. I did notice that there was some rust on the sending unit itself. Ryan
