Need Clarification on the Edge CS/CTS

So ive read the stickies and some threads here and there. You can get the Juice packages and other accessories.

If i buy just the Edge CS or CTS to Monitor my PIDs.... no add ons except maybe the camera for the CTS... thats not a programmer, correct. Its strictly a monitor?

I am curious because i have an exended warranty on the truck and i want a monitor. But i dont want it to void anything if i bring it into Ford for any reason thinking its a programmer.

Any input is appreciated, thanks

The way i understand it.
It just let's you know what the computer on the truck already knows. And can read codes as well and clear them. Basically what that shutting thing at auto zone does.

My question when I put this exhaust on and a ficm atlas40. Is it gonna be able to clear the codes popping up every engine start.

You shouldn't get any codes from an Atlas 40 maybe a P1000, but that is a soft code and won't throw a cel. It will also stop coming up after a few starts. The exhaust won't throw any codes no sensors in these in the exhaust. To answer your question yes the cs and cts can clear all codes on start, there is a setting that will alow it to do so. IMHO I don't like to clear codes on start setting because you may miss a code that your truck is throwing.

What your talking about is the Edge Insight CS/CTS. that will help you get the right one when you order. The insight as opposed to the evolution or juice which are programmers.

Glad you brought that up. That's what I was going to say as well. Edge is a company not a product. Saying an Edge CS or CTS isn't telling what product you are considering. As stated above the Insight is the monitor only, the Juice and Evolution are programmers. They all come in CS (Color Screen) and CTS (Color Touch Screen) models.
