oil leak....?

I noticed today I have an oil leak on my truck. It has been parked for about a week and I happened to walk by it today and noticed a few drops of oil on the driveway. I crawled under the truck and found where oil has collected or been leaking. The transmission bellhousing has oil on it and the rear of the oil pan has oil on it. So I think that the oil leak is coming from the rear of the engine. What is a common leak on the back of the motor and where should I start looking for a leak? Thanks

Will

The 03-early 04's have ICP leaking issues, ICP is behind/under the turbo and when leaking can drip down the bell/motor.

Also the 6.0 is common for the rear main seal/wear sleeve to leak.

Don't rule out glow plug o-rings, oil can leak from them and be blown back toward the bell/motor.

Turbo drain tube is another that can leak and blow back to the bell/motor.

Also check the oil cooler housing, oil can blow back and run down the bell/motor.

Even a leaky EGR cooler hose can drip coolant, the leaking coolant can mix with oil/dirt on its way down the bell/motor housing, this can be mistaking for a oil leak.

I got it all degreased and sprayed off and will keep an eye on it. As far as I can tell it is not on top of the motor it is on the back of the motor somewhere. I will keep a closer eye on it and see if I can narrow it down. Thank you for the areas to check. Thanks.

DEVERO2 Dont forget the bed plate gaskets, what or where are these?
