Back to stock tune or milder tune?!?

Here is my situation..I have an edge tuner (i know i know) and have been running the canned tow tune (60 hp/120ft lbs) for about 5 months. I know the edge brings never ending problems to our tranns, thought I could be the lucky one. I was getting on the highway and nailed it. Shifting from 3 to 4 it pretty much stuck in 4th gear at about 3000K and wouldn't shift into 5th. It was somewhat wet out so I do not know if that was a factor or not. I pulled over, let it sit and it was fine until I got home. I took the tune back to stock that very same evening in hope to save my trans (first time it ever did this). Here is my question. It seems like my truck is stupidly slow on stock tune, which I should expect going from a higher HP tune, and I seem to burn through fuel quicker. My goal is to have a SCT w/ custom tunes by Feb of next year. Should I put the edge tune back on and drive nice until I get my new tuner or leave it stock? It has a eco tune as well, but not sure if that is recommended for the trans? Could anything go wrong from having a higher HP tune (tow) and then going back to stock? Point of story...I am not the lucky one and should have listened to everyone else lol.

I'd leave it stock till you can get an sct. Point being I don't know anyone who can drive "nice" for 5 months...
