Edge CTS Accurate FICM voltage

Anyone with a CTS that has noticed FICM voltage not correct on the gauge but correct on the FICM itself? I have an 03 6.0 that my CTS alarms low voltage in the morning first startup and never shows voltage above 47.5 volts. But if I take the meter and check test port it's always good. I have a Swamps modified 58v FICM and the lowest I can get the voltage to drop too is 52v after several ignition cycles with AC and headlights on. But my CTS continually will show 42v and alarm and as I said the max it will show is 47.5v. You would think it would have it pegged at 48v

Yeah I can see if your FICM were actually bad the CTS giving you a low voltage reading. But in my case checking the test port my FICM will be at 52 volts but the CTS says its only 41 or 42 volts

I have a 58v ficm. Cts reads a constant 50v with no fluctuation. I figured this is tthe max it could read.

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
IIirc swamps modifies their ficms now so they only show the pcm 45 to 48v. over 50v will also set a ficm code.

Fyi the cts is not capable of reading over 50v

If you or a friend have AE you can check with that scanner and compare it to cts readings. My old style insight reads some data different than AE such as deltas and battery volts.

i'm running a BPD FICM on 53V but my CTS only shows 50.0v with no fluctuation. as was mentioned here before, i guess that's the max it'll read. before that with the stock FICM i have to admit, my CTS was pretty accurate showing almost the same readings my multimeter showed when testing the FICM (the edge FICM doesn't read tenths of a volt, it only shows .5v increments so i.e. multimeter showed 47.3v, edge showed 47.5v)
